After a first-quarter rebound, CIT Group (CIT +0.5%) says it's got a long-term finance-margin target of 3-4%, and a goal for return on assets of 1.5-2%. The formerly bankrupt lender took on up-front costs to repay expensive debt, but that's boosted net interest margin.
