Gazprom (OGZPY.PK) says it will need to invest an additional $16.9B to expand its pipelines to take gas to southeastern Europe via the South Stream, which would bring the total cost of the project aimed at shipping 63B cu. meters of gas under the Black Sea by 2018 to $38.4B. The offshore and European sections of the pipeline are forecast to cost €16B ($21.5B).
