The DOJ is asking the FCC to delay its decision on SoftBank's (SFTBF.PK) acquisition of 70% of Sprint (S +0.9%) until a national security review is completed. Meanwhile Dish Network (DISH +1.1%), perhaps looking to stay on Sprint's good side, says it won't file a petition with the FCC to block the SoftBank deal. Clearwire (CLWR -2.1%), which has agreed to a $2.97/share offer from Sprint and has received a $3.30/share offer from Dish, is lower on the news. (earlier)
