Petrobras (PBR) is set to raise prices for gasoline and diesel for the first time in nearly a decade, by 6.6% and 5.4% respectively, and bringing relief to its money-losing refining and supply unit. At the Brazilian government's urging, PBR has held pump prices steady to control inflation, but global crude prices have nearly tripled, leading the company to sell imported fuel at a loss.
