More on Best Buy (BBY +1.6%): Shares continue to lift higher as the news of a potential scaling back in Canada is digested by investors. Confirmed reports of closures in British Columbia, Quebec, Manitoba, and Ontario are already in. Nothing official from the company has been released, although pressures from online pricing and the showrooming effect are being pinned for the action by analysts. Could this be a trial balloon for more U.S. store closures?

That is the only way to go. Smaller stores, less overheads, greater margins, higher share price....if only this is true.

The electronics chain told the Financial Post they will instead launch smaller Futer Shop web stores and Best Buy Mobile stores in Canada over the next few years.
