On a day when Netflix (NFLX +1.4%) is premiering House of Cards to positive reviews, Amazon (AMZN +0.1%) announces it has scored exclusive streaming rights for Downton Abbey. Amazon's home page is currently sharing the news to customers in a rather conspicuous way. The e-commerce giant has been steadily growing (I, II) its arsenal of exclusive TV content.     If Amazon paid for "Downtown" Abbey, they are not as smart as they try to make us think...or is the person writing these SA market currents.

    But won't Netflix still have DVD copies of Downton Abbey still available? (Currently Season #1 is in their DVD selection.)
