Mortgage insurers are off sharply following a Barron's article saying they are severely undercapitalized to meet claims they are likely to face over the next two years. Should their risk/capital ratios rise much more, state regulators would no longer allow them to write new business, i.e. game over. MTG -4.3%, PMI -5.7%, RDN -3.1%.
