PepsiCo (PEP +0.8%) launches the first new ad campaign for its flagship Pepsi-Cola in three years. The soda has slipped to no. 3 in the cola wars behind Coke (KO +0.8%) and Diet Coke while the company turned its attention to healthy-foods initiatives. Analysts have accused PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi of taking her eye off the company's biggest brand.

This is not bad copy but Pepsi has been "no. 3" for a long time.

It would be nice to see a paradigm shift of consumer tastes in this country. I dream to see a sudden and dramatic drop in soda pop sales resulting in a drop in obesity and dentists going out of business.
