News Corp. (NWSA) hopes to close a deal for the sale of Myspace by Thursday. Specific Media - an ad network - and Golden Gate Capital - a PE firm - look to be the frontrunners for the purchase, with a price in the $20-$30M range. News Corp. bought Myspace in 2005 for $580M.

    Bought it for $580M, sell it for 20M-30M, but the big loser is Google who paid Myspace $900M to run their ad model on Myspace.
