Covidien's (COV) pharmaceuticals business, which it's spinning off under the name Mallinckrodt, will apply to list its shares on the NYSE and will trade with the ticker symbol MNK. Covidien expects to complete the process in the middle of the year. Mallinckrodt generated sales of $2B in 2012. (PR)

    What are the details of the spin-off? Will MNK be a leveraged buyout, or will existing COV shareholders get pro-rata shares in the new company?
