MetLife (MET) could spend $3B-$4B on another acquisition following last year's $16.2B purchase of AIG's (AIG) international life business. Such a deal would be more than the “tuck-ins or bolt-ons” MetLife spoke about in June, and would surprise analysts expecting the firm to start buying back shares.
