Siemens (SI) prepares to open its first solar-thermal power plant in Spain, and begin construction on two more plants at a cost of €600M ($868M) after Spain passes solar-thermal legislation. The IEA says Spain could become a hub for solar power by receiving solar power piped across the Mediterranean from the Sahara-region.
