S&P (MHP) hires stud white-collar trial attorney John Keker for its battle against the $5B DOJ lawsuit. His retention was recommended by noted 1st Amendement lawyer Floyd Abrams, who also represents S&P. Abrams: "We are going to be more than ready ... to have a trial."

    To get to the matter at hand sometimes entails the removal of layer's and what one thought was smart is really expensive and dumb.

    This is like buying a lemon that Consumer Reports said was AAA, then suing Consumer Reports. The person using the rating didn't pay for the rating. Sounds like crying over spilt milk. If it is fraud then criminal prosecution, but there's not enough evidence for that. So the Downgraded gov't had to find some obscure law to sue under. How about DOJ going after the criminals.
