Chinese CPI slows to +2% Y/Y in January from +2.5% in December and meets consensus, with the decline partly due to the timing of the New Year. On month, inflation +1% M/M vs +0.8% in December. PPI -1.6% Y/Y. TD Securities' Annette Beacher says that despite the CPI fall, inflation is expected to rise in February, boosted by holiday demand.
