VMware (VMW -2.5%) slides after Barron's suggests shares could fall another 20%+ on top of their post-earnings bludgeoning. The paper notes revenue growth has steadily decelerated over the last several years thanks to a saturating virtualization software market, and argues a forward P/E of 25 means shares are still expensive (ed: thanks to deferred revenue, VMware's price/free cash flow multiple is lower). The decline comes in spite of an upgrade to Overweight from Evercore. EMC -1.2%.
