The Macau Government Tourism Office reports the Chinese New Year is off to a strong start with total visitors to Macau growing 22% Y/Y over the last four day period. A mini-boom in traffic could help drive revenue higher for the local arms of casino companies Las Vegas Sands (LVS +0.7%), MGM Resorts (MGM -0.3%), Wynn Resorts (WYNN +0.3%), and Melco Crown (MPEL +1.8%).

Mpel moving towards a 52 week high. This is the one of the best ways to play the Chinese consumer and rise of their middle class.

I own CAF. I picked up CAF at top 21.'s and low 24.'s. It is related to the class A shares of the Shanghai. It may be paying out in the end of March. It's last payout was for just above 2.00 a share. It is a closed ended fund.

When I first purchaced MPEL in 2009 for $3 and change my financial advisor didn't like my decision. I told him the stock would some day be $20+ and he said "good luck with that". $40+ in 2016???

Ever watched Moneyball? Investing is kind-of like baseball. You can't just rely on stats. Use common sense. It has worked for me. Don't think too hard.

I wonder, do the rise in Chinese flocking to casinos increase the Chinese people's money? In other words, what is the percentage of winners vs. losers?

Casinos win more than they lose, otherwise they wouldn't be a business.

LVS what's going on with this stock. It seems to be trading in this range. Even with all the good news in Macau. They're in the best position to benefit from CNY wk. it runs up today but goes right back down.

(LVS) has casinos in Macau, Singapore, & Vegas. Vegas has been a drag for (LVS).

    (MPEL) is about 100% Macau.

Bad news cancels good news. Once Vegas comes back, (LVS) should do fine.
