Carl Icahn offers to buy the rest of Clorox (CLX) (he already owns 9.4%) for $76.50/share (Thur. close: $68.43), or $12.6B. Of that, $7.8B would be funded by Jefferies Group (JEF) at about 6.5%, and the rest would be cash and the shares it owns. If CLX accepts the offer by July 29, Icahn will pay $100M if the deal fails to close.
