The most interesting takeaway from PennyMac's (PMT) Q4 earnings call (transcript) is no analysts could find the time to participate. The stock of this clearly underfollowed MBS investor - run by Stan Kurland, formerly of Countryside - was up about 50% in 2012, while paying paying a 13% dividend (based on 2012's opening price).     There were plenty of analysts who would have asked questions IF PMT WOULD HAVE ALLOWED Q&A. This from the only mortgage REIT that discloses only GAAP only earnings. (Hint: They're totally reliant on unrealized gains.)

    and thoughts on the recent sell off?

     

    I love the stock and have a nice gain.. but the dang thing dropped 3 bucks to hit the 50 MA.
