A federal judge says Anadarko Petroleum (APC +3.3%) must go to arbitration with its claims that BP (BP -0.4%) is to blame for last year's Gulf of Mexico oil spill; Anadarko owned 25% of the BP well. The judge also dismisses lawsuits against BP claiming the company had defrauded regulators about safety issues. APC shares have been up since news of BHP's offer for Petrohawk (HK).
