Heard during DirecTV's (DTV -3.4%) earnings call: 1) The company will begin charging existing subscribers a $3 fee for regional sports networks to match what new subscribers already pay. 2) Execs say programming expenses are forecast to rise 8% in FY13. 3) Housing growth will eventually be an upside driver for the company - but is factored in "cautiously" to subscriber growth estimates for now. 4) Latin America is still considered a great place for the company to look for internal rates of return and DirecTV isn't giving up in Venezuela despite the wild currency swings.
