Exports by North American potash producers jumped in January after their Canpotex marketing organization signed a supply deal with Chinese buyers. North American potash exports rose 13% from the previous month to 657K metric tons and were 38% above the year-ago pace; domestic sales, mainly to the U.S., rose 3% M/M and 67% Y/Y at 477K metric tons.

    Finally, India is in contracts too. Mos is usually out of the gate first during earning season. The USDA gives the farmers another bull year. Farmers have spent nicely on machines, that shows up in industrial production, along with clothes and furniture. Auto production was down, but that is the season for it. Auto sales in China were exceptional. might be the reason for a pull back in consumer spending. Looking for that to pick up for they are starting to pay their people more. Makes sense, the more you pay the better you country can handle inflationary pressures. MON on deck for a patent case.

    MOS has investors Day on FEB 26th. Watching how well DE holds along with AGCO. TWI is on deck. Machinery was on of the bright spots in the industrial productions. Farmers spent decently, but with that cash do they hold,they have to put some money to work,. Watching MON and MOS for that. MON has possible patent suit. Also in this area watching vehicle sales. We had that big seasonal drop in, so lets keep a close eye on that. Home loans and commercial loans to. Does the cuts hurt the CL's. Chicago PMI coming up.Going to watch U.S. Debt clock for real time light vehicle sales. Don't forget Durable Goods Orders were solid.
