A quick Nokia (NOK) roundup: 1) Strategy Analytics says "extensive channel checks" lead it to believe Nokia won't launch a tablet at the Feb. 25-28 Mobile World Congress. There are plenty of rumors about a Nokia tablet arriving this year. 2) Engadget's Mat Smith likes the potential of the Lumia 620, particularly in emerging markets (it goes for an unsubsidized $249 in China). The quality of the 620's hardware and UI give it a chance to appeal to first-time buyers in spite of Windows Phone's app shortage, he argues.

Here's hoping my loss is your gain. I've always had Nokias and real happy with my Lumia, but after 150% run up since last summer, I'm out. Had hoped to get to $5, so I could break even, but going to put the money to "dry powder."

While news from Asia has been put on hold for Lunar New Year holidays (Feb 9 - Feb 17), Nokia has launched the new Lumia 620 in Germany.

Nokias most important market in EU is Germany, and the Lumia is doing fairly well there. Then again, you could say, we have heard all that before and where is the proof, where is the fact that it is doing well.

One week later here it is http://bit.ly/12T16R4 - at the time of writing.
    The all star popular phone
    Samsung Galaxy S3, ranked 8.
    then
Nokia Lumia 620 Black, ranked 13.
    and
    Apple iPhone 5, ranked 15.
There are no Blackberry´s in top 100.

Nokia longs have to be looking on what is happening in Germany which always have been a top 10 sales market for Nokia.

This is all very nice but here in south east Asia :
    A) you see no advertisement for Nokia in any shape or form . But everywhere you see samsung adds .
    B) a handphone retailer told me that he is making twice as much selling Samsung galaxy then selling Nokia lumia . Of course he promotes Samsung .
As a challenger Nokia should make more efforts on marketing , without it , even though their product is really good ,they won't sell .
