The yen is +0.5% at 93.46 to the dollar after Japanese ministers play down the possibility of the country buying foreign bonds as part of its attempt pull the economy out of deflation. PM Shinzo Abe had said yesterday that such a move was an option. Meanwhile, Economy Minister Akira Amari says the government will choose a new BOJ governor after Abe returns from a trip to the U.S. this week.
