Qualcomm (QCOM +0.2%) plans to use next week's Mobile World Congress to show off rapid-charging tech that it claims can improve charging times (for devices using QCOM's processors and power management ICs) by 75%. Last month, the company announced new Snapdragon processors at CES. Meanwhile, Bernstein argues Chinese 3G adoption is at an "inflection point," and thinks Qualcomm could generate $0.50-$1 in 2015 EPS from the market. However, the firm cautions Qualcomm still doesn't collect royalties on some TD-SCDMA 3G phone sales.
