Not heard on Chesapeake's (CHK -0.9%) conference call: Aubrey McClendon. In another sign of change, CHK said it has hedged 50% of its projected 2013 natural gas production; a year ago, it hadn’t hedged any of its gas for 2012, and was clobbered as prices tanked. CFO Dominic Dell'Osso reiterated CHK's commitment to pay down debt, but still with $12B in long-term liabilities, Credit Suisse fears CHK may be backing away from its earlier $9.5B debt reduction target.

I notice no one is talking about Chesapeake energy today as they must all still be in shell shock.
as I listened to the report and read the earnings report I took away some thoughts
they are on target for oil and liquids this year and the returns will be great
they are on line to reduce natural gas this year and remember, they have presold with the deal for a million tons for chemical usage
they have 4 billion in liquid assets if needed that they have not utilized.
they need about , who can add, about 6 billion this year for cap expense and have about 2 in the house. they need three to four, not sure, to go
they have two big deals pending and would not talk about them.
one seems to be soon. I assume next few weeks
they hedged a lot of their oil and natural gas at good prices to take pressure off the weekly and downs of natural gas and the weather
    they are cutting costs
    so goes the list
they trade 21 million shares and drop seven cents. its almost impossible to do that. are they buying or selling? or, both at the same time
    what about the shorts?
who knows, I never saw so many shares trade with out direction.
a million shares here or there, and no one cares.
some place in Alices wonderland there is a mad hatter,I am sure
