The 41st consecutive annual dividend increase of $ .07 per quarter of $ .28 annually is an increase of 9.5%. That is derived by dividing the increase $ .7 by the previous quarterly dividend of $ .74.

KMB's announcement clearly indicates that the increase is 9.5%.

This is the 41st consecutive year that the dividend has been increased and the 79th consecutive year that KMB has paid a dividend! A great Dividend-Growth stock!

I bought at $62 back around November of 2010 and have been waiting ever since for a pullback to buy more. It never really happened so I bought no more. Darn.

81 cents is more than an 8% increase over 74 cents. More like 9.5 percent.

Abigsoxfan, At 62 cost, your current yield is 5.2%. Over time that yield will grow as KMB increases their dividend. Their annual dividend rate in 2000 was $1.08. Now it is $3.24. This is a great example of Dividend-Growth investing.

Abigsoxfan, I just noticed that KMB stock is trading at $93.70. Your cost is $62, I judge, therefore, that you are a shrewd investor!

    Nice work!
