Ruckus (RKUS +11.3%) soars after GigaOm reports pan-African carrier Airtel plans to use Ruckus' access points to build a Wi-Fi network that could eventually have over 100K nodes. Airtel also reportedly plans to tap Alcatel-Lucent (ALU -1.4%) to provide aggregation routers and integration services. Ruckus might also be getting a lift from rival Aruba's (ARUN +19.9%) FQ2 beat. On its earnings call, Aruba, which is stronger in enterprise Wi-Fi, said it wants to deliver carrier Wi-Fi architectures that support both standard Wi-Fi offload and managed services for enterprises.
