Iowa State's Ellwyn Taylor says weather issues could lead to a smaller-than-expected corn crop - closer to last year's 153 bu/acre vs. the USDA forecast of 158. Though at elevated prices, corn has been held somewhat in check by hopes for a bumper crop. CORN +18.5% YTD.

2009′s crop totaled 13.110 billion bushels with an average yield of 164.7 bushels per acre. 2010 totaled 12.5B bu with yield of 158bu/a so 2011 could still bring a bumper crop.
