    Illiquid after-hour quotes can easily be manipulated by shorts. I guess they hope that longs will panic and dump their shares when they see the negative print.

    Forecasts are more important than current earnings. If they gave disappointing forecasts, stock will drop some. (AAPL) has given very conservative and thus a little disappointing forecasts over the last 10 years. Thus, the stock fell in the short-term despite beating estimates for 10 straight quarters. But over that 10 years, where has (AAPL) stock gone?

     

    Use this as a buying opportunity if you think it is a good stock.
