DuPont (DD) says it is expanding its pipeline of new products under development to include a biotech wheat that would be more resistant to disease, remain hardy in drought conditions and potentially boost yields 15%-20%. Corn remains the company's key crop but it sees wheat as a good long-term bet, says the VP for crop genetics R&D.

    What is on the shelves, new and innovative, for sale to farmers today? Less important are futuristic offerings in DuPont's vague touted pipeline that may make the commercial marketplace "in a decade or so". ...funfun..
