Instagram's (FB) registered base has topped 100M just a month after passing 90M. The growth comes even as Twitter, Yahoo, and others launch apps with photo filters - Instagram's mindshare and network effects are proving hard to overcome, even as monetization remains a question mark. Separately, AOL's Advertising.com unit says it will buy ads for clients via Facebook's FBX Exchange, which delivers ads based on browsing activity on 3rd-party sites.
