No surprise - go from being the Nordstrom of single cup to the Target . A classic sign of distress at a retail co. Cheapen your image.

This is not a surprise - when things are not "percolating" so to speak go cheap; go from being the Neiman-Marcus of single cup to the Target. Classic sign in retail of a company in trouble.

Everyone who produces a product does this. Ford, Mercedes, Sony, Nintendo, etc. it's not cheapening the image. This is called reaching out to the ever-growing lower to middle class.

I think there's nothing wrong with this machine. They're allowing more people in to try their product. The real problem is the price of the K cups themselves. Veteran coffee drinkers like myself like their coffee. I can easily drink 4 - 6 cups in a morning. The K-cups are great and really beat out the Folgers out of the Mr. Coffee but they cost too much and I'm thinking "Why tempt myself to buy the expensive K-cups. I can put the Keurig machine in the garage sale and go back to the cheaper Mr. Coffee. They've got to get the cost of the K-cups down because they are going to lose market share due to the expense of the coffee itself. GMCR is at a crossroads and will miss the boat in my estimation if they don't get the coffee cost down. I never see any real deals at the store for the K-cups. I go looking for deals and see a lot of people staring at the K-cup shelves like I am and we all talk about how expensive the boxes of 12 K-cups are, and many of us walk away. I think that story plays out a lot across the country. If a box of 12 K-cups were $4.50 a box I'd not mind paying and I'd ditch the Mr. Coffee, but all I see are boxes of 12 K-Cups at $6.99 or more for the GMCR brand(s) and $5,99 for the medium brands like 8 O'Clock coffee or Folgers etc. If GMCR will focus on the selling cost of their K-Cups I'd be interested in the stock more. It seems they are aiming at a high class market at the expense of the rest of us who count pennies when it comes to buying coffee for the old coffee pot. C'mon people - it's coffee for goodness sake.
