Third time is hopefully the charm for SunTrust Banks (STI) which has found at least three P-E firms to buy its Ridgeworth Investments asset management unit, according to sources. The business has $48.1B in AUM and the price is reportedly in the $250M-$300M range. SunTrust, of course, had its capital return plans rejected by the Fed last year and a sale would go a ways towards reversing that.
