The higher the crime, the less likely criminal activity is found. However, they got the high profile trader from the Playboy family. Not saying they should not go after all criminal activity but I'm sure they did not make their money back here.

There was huge fraud behind the housing mess. Truthfully we will not have this housing mess without fraud. Fraudsters were white collar some little guys and some big fish. Many are still around ready to repeat their crimes. Once again the Justice Department does not want to investigate, prosecute and send to jail those criminals. This is nothing new to our justice system. They prosecute whom they want. They leave alone whom they want. That is why we have so much fraud in this country. We have fraud committed by our own government people. Any civil service guy who is GS-15 and does not deliver to government what he is paid in return is committing fraud. Many civil servants in Washington do not show up for work but collect salaries. Many sell their offices for personal gain. These things happen right here in the USA not just in some third world countries.

Duh, this was sanctioned by the Democrats to get their loyal voters into houses that would, one day, be paid for by the Democrat politicians. There is no way a Democratic Administration is going to look for the real criminals.
