PC DRAM prices continue to surge in the face of weak OEM demand: Digitimes reports spot prices recently rose another 5% thanks to ongoing production shifts to mobile/server DRAM. Industry consolidation - Samsung (SSNLF.PK), Micron (MU +3.5%), and SK Hynix are seen controlling 90% of the 2013 market - probably isn't hurting either. MKM's Daniel Berenbaum is out with a bullish note on Micron: he's pleased with improving DRAM and NAND pricing, and notes shares trade only 15% above book value. He's a little worried about NAND execution, and Micron's higher debt load post-Elpida. (previous)
