Seth Klarman adds 4 names to Baupost's portfolio, based on its recent 13-F. The 2 biggest additions are value investor favorites BP and Microsoft MSFT. Also of interest are new stakes in Central Pacific Financial (CPF) and Idenix Pharmaceuticals (IDIX), as well as a doubling of his postion in Syneron Medical (ELOS).

Seth klarman buys Msft. Even Buffet has the good sense not to touch that piece of whatever.

Buffet has always said he's not a tech guy, so not touching msft implies nothing.

I am a little surprised that klarman is entering MSFT. He wrongly entered sycamore (wrong in the sense it keeps falling). Perhaps Klarman and T2, if patient over the long run, will see a solid return in holding MSFT.
