What to make of Yum Brands (YUM)? After McDonald's showed some promise in Asia for February sales, retail analysts will be anxious to see if Yum Brands is able to stem the bleeding in China after the chicken contamination issue helped to wallop sales. A couple of retail analysts think Yum's trends in Asia look promising, which could be critical to help determine if the early success of KFC and Taco Bell in the nation was due to novelty or can sustain.

    In Shanghai and Beijing, haven't seen this faux Mexican food Yum! Brand.

    Not Taco Bell.

     

    Pizza Hut is an early success in Shanghai and Beijing. Early means before Papa Johns came and a proliferation of other pizza houses came over.
