The BlackBerry Z10 (BBRY +1.4%) will hit AT&T store shelves on March 22, says Bloomberg - N4BB previously reported of a March 15 launch. Separately, Jefferies' Peter Misek, who upgraded shares on Jan. 18, says his checks indicate no Z10 inventory buildup, and that any price cuts are normal for a new smartphone. Pac Crest had reported different findings.

I'm excited to try out the new Z10. Should be a good addition to the U.S. smartphone market.

I trust Jeffries / Peter Misek more than most analysts. He was bearish initially on BBRY, and rightfully so, when BBRY had the old lineups of products and nothing new to offer. recently he changed his mind and reiterated a buy rating on the stock with a target of $19.50 and north of $43 a year out.
The analysts community mostly all were bearish on BBRY. But with the recent launch of the Z10, they are mainly changing their ratings in droves to bullish ones.
The ever so important US market is key. It won't take few weeks for BBRY to catch fire as the US consumer and enterprise market will not settle for anything but the best and most secure product.

Heins will announce the sales figures worldwide on March 28 if not earlier, and I expect a short squeeze just to be in full force before the end of March

    Long live BBRY

So many concerns regarding a late launch in the US, rather an impressive strategic launch has been in the works. The US hates
losers. Rather have the product and brand re-establish itself around the world to glowing reviews only builds momentum to the point where everyone in the US can't wait to get there hands on one...brilliant.

Too many people want to see BlackBerry fail, of course they had to take a sharp learning curve with what people want, but the Z10 is top-o-line and nothing like the old handsets. I've been lucky enough to own one since they've released here in Canada and I now get a little frustrated running my ipod because of how easy and user friendly the blackberry is. I mean, you can speed thru apps and messages and not miss a beat... very nice phone, it gets things done...

Ps. An iphone is more or less just an ipod with a cell connection.. wait, isn't the iphone5 the same as the first ipod?

The iPod can't search the web and use apps.

Inventory buildup where? At warehouses or stores? Stores will not get thhem till within 48 hours of launch. 72 hours maybe for a few stores. But these z10s will be at distribution locations.

This is not good news for 132 million shorts, there will be a short squeeze and there are several Funds talking about that probability now and how they can participate.

I traded in my Iphone for the BlackBerry z10....2 weeks later I have no regrets...i am bilingual and the keyboard is perfect for me..web browsing is super fast and having me texts, emails, FB all in one place makes multitasking very simple....love this phone.
Used to have BlackBerry Storm as I love the compression of the data. But I had to buy more data when I was using the Iphone as Iphone eats up data. Will be checking my bill at the end of the month to see if the z10 also compresses the data. If so I can go back to paying less for data. The phone pays for itself.

On the consumer side, I don't think there is compression taking place. Part of the reason is that much of the data consumed by the general public in not compressible (ie. photos, streaming video/music). I'm not personally, a huge consumer of streaming video or music over my mobile device so my usage didn't increase that much.

If you have a Wi-Fi at home and most of the places you visit, then set your BB10 network connections settings to Wi-Fi and you will not experience much usage on your data plan.

March 8th and no sign of the short squeeze. I was expecting some sign of it today. Interesting

Bears are not convinced enough to cover. If any short squeeze, it will happen at the end of the month when world sales figures come out.
