The 8% Q/Q drop reported by Pandora for its mobile ad pricing could be hurting Millennial Media (MM -2.6%) and Velti (VELT -2.3%). Yesterday, Millennial rose after CFO Michael Avon talked up his company's value to advertisers at a Barclays conference (transcript). Avon argued Millennial's ad targeting tech - especially important given the general lack of cookies on mobile devices - is a selling point - and pointed to examples such as "McDonald's targeting a McCafé offering to consumers who are only within several blocks of a specific street corner."
