The WSJ reports Apple (AAPL) is looking to begin trial production of its next iPad in October, and hopes to launch it in early 2012. In line with prior rumors, the device is expected to have a display with 4x as many pixels as the iPad 2. On Tuesday, it was reported that component issues had pushed back Apple's iPad 3 plans into 2012.

As usual Ipad rumors are absurd. Ipad3 was never going to be launched in 2011 as the new models always come out in April. There seems to be a sad attempt to float rumors to try and hurt the stock price. This as everyone can see is futile. The stock is significantly undervalued and will not be hurt.

Full disclosure: I own AAPL shares in the form of LEAPS.
