Bank of America's (BAC) recent job cuts and asset sales have allowed it to outperform the KBW Bank Index (KBE) this week, as investors hope the company is finally getting serious about streamlining operations. Sources report BofA, whose shares are down 48% YTD, is now in talks to sell some of its private equity holdings.
