A tech blog fires off a letter to financial watchdog CFPB demanding the spanking-new agency regulate search engine giants Google GOOG, Bing MSFT and Yahoo YHOO. The slant is the group acts as "non-banks impacting the financial well-being of consumers" by "hocking" sub-prime mortgages and collecting information used by predatory lenders.

This person and Mark Cuban are spot on with what's wrong and who is to blame for both the '08 crash, and the volatile market right now. Enough of this wild west roller coaster ride, time to regulate today! Better that big gov work for you instead of those corporate lobbyist. Too many crooks ruin the deal. We need more solid investments based on honesty, otherwise the collective value of the market is less than zero. Whether it's bogus sub-primes or smoke-and-mirror cloud concepts, there needs to be some solid ground to build our house on, or it will just fall down again.
