PayPal (EBAY -3.2%) acquires Duff Research, a developer of private-label mobile apps for TiVo, Adidas, and others. "What we're really after with this deal is the innovators and experience," says PayPal CTO James Barrese; division chief David Marcus has been busy trying to overhaul the culture of the online payments giant. eBay's GSI Commerce unit already helps build apps and in-store mobile promotions for retailers.

  • So, what is going on here? All Ebay's 'naturals' still look as good as ever, unless I'm missing something. ...Anybody know anything ?? The shares have dropped quite a bit the past few weeks. An adjustment, perhaps?

  • James, I do not know, but I agree. EBay fundamentals seem like they look good. Maybe the hedgies have now targeted EBay instead of AAPL. If any stock should be dropping it should be AMZN with it's beyond ridiculous PE ratio. Watch out though, because when the colluding hedge funds decide to target a company it can drop and fast!

  • Looks like a normal correction. Draw the support and resistance lines.

  • I've owned EBAY in the past - had it called away @50 in Dec last yr. but kept it on my radar.
Looking to get back in on this pullback.

Check out this link , some negative news floating around the last 2 days, may have given a reason for profit taking.
