Borrowing another page from Twitter, Facebook (FB) is planning to incorporate hashtags within its service, the WSJ reports. The paper observes the feature will help Facebook index and build conversations around subjects the way Twitter has. Judging by the success of Twitter's Promoted Trend and Promoted Tweets products, there could also be some ad-selling opportunities.

Thank God I dumped FB, which should be moving down, as the rest of the market moves up. I don't think it will stabilize before $26.

gwynfryn.....I though we were on the same page about FB but anyway, FB is getting more and more desperate, and such news only confirms my disappointment in them. FB is dying, although there's still some fight in them. For now, I'm staying out but sittling on the sidelines like a vulture, until something excites me to get back in. Also, there's too much action elsewhere to waste time on FB now. BAC, VLO, JPM, GMCR, etc. all excites me. Money can be made much faster when stocks go up and down, rather than plodding along, whether up or down.

Agreed, ben, and FB does rather look like "Dead Stock walking", doesn't it? I like "sittling" (sit + settling?); was it deliberate?

sorry, gwynfryn, for yet another typo error. I meant "sitting" and not "sittling". Heaven forbid that I should desecrate the English language and coin my own words. When I used to swear a lot during my early days in the service, I invented quite a few of my own vulgar words (which would make any sailor blush), all of which I'm not proud of and are deeply regretted and am ashamed. I've never used any vulgar word since those youthful days. Yes, FB is dead for now; best to keep it in the freezer.
