Market recap: The Dow finally broke its 10-session winning streak, but it wasn't much of a breather, as declines of 0.3% or less on each of the major indexes could be taken as an encouraging sign. Weak consumer sentiment data was a drag, but the drop seemed out of step with other more positive economic readings. Quadruple witching helped boost activity, but there was little news to push prices much.
