Tablets continue their evolution into serious business tools, as Salesforce.com (CRM) unveils a new product allowing its cloud apps to be accessed on touchscreen devices. Like VMware's (VMW) Project AppBlast, Salesforce's product uses HTML5 technology, which Apple (AAPL) strongly supports as an alternative to Adobe's (ADBE) Flash.

I have done some work with HTML5 for fun, and though its a big step, its not going to eat away at the gaming segment Flash is used for, any time soon. Great for animation and media clips though.

Flash has its own technical problems regarding its structure. It started as a presentation/animation tool that morphed into a mini-virtual machine runtime. Unity has become a serious competitor for Flash at the high-end gaming segment. ADBE may get squeezed hard from two fronts.
