New U.S. Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew has met new Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing in the men's first major international meeting since taking on their respective positions. Publicly, Xi said China and the U.S. will "unavoidably" continue to have differences; privately, the men spoke about the exchange rate, intellectual property, cybersecurity, Cyprus and North Korea. Lew is due to meet with new Chinese Premier Li Keqiang tomorrow.

  • We saw Obama praise China an himself for the 11% Yuan gain in term one. I do see him along with Democrats and Republicans pounding the table ( gently) for another 11% over the next 4 years.

     

    There are not many things that Republicans and Democrats agree on and that the WH quickly will go along with. A stronger Yuan is such a beast !

     

    So, having cash currently isn't a good investment,but, we all need to have it. I've been touting all to have a Yuan account for many years.. This is easily done in the US via one of BOCs many branches and yes... BOC is legally chartered and covered by the FSLIC...

     

    So, how easy is that.. A tiny 1% interest and a debit card,but, a chance to make a safe bet on the currency all from the safety from a local insured bank account......
