A fireball spewing from a ruptured Chevron (CVX) pipeline off Louisiana in the Gulf of Mexico has been extinguished with no current threat of reigniting, the U.S. Coast Guard says in its first update on the incident since Friday. Crews on Monday completed purging operations of the fire; no oil was spilled and there were no impacts to wildlife, the Coast Guard says.
