A survey conducted by Deloitte Touche indicates a lower percentage of the population considered cutting the chord to pay-TV services in 2012 than 2011. Though the wording of the question leads AllThingsD to speculate that at least some of the respondents answered yes to cutting premium-TV services such as HBO (TWX) instead of traditional cable/satellite (DTV, DISH, CMCSA, TWC, CHTR, CVC) options, the reported sharp drop in the pace of cord-cutting is still something to watch.
