Nomura thinks there could be a slowdown in iPhone (AAPL) sales in September, as buyers wait for the hotly-anticipated next-gen model, but sees Q4 demand making up for it. The firm also believes Sprint's (S) acquisition of the iPhone may be a mixed blessing for the carrier, as it could trigger a price war rivals T and VZ are better-equipped for.

The iPhone 5 has a new longer menu button on the bottom of the phone. That is all. The phone is just like the other ones.

But, keep in mind, that will drive sales since most people want to show everyone 'Hey, look, MY phone has THE NEW neato longer button at the bottom! You still have THE OLD phone! Ha, you suck!'

And that's all they're selling in a nutshell.

Apple is about to crater big time over the next couple years.

There are always people that want to have the newest thing going. That doesn't make them worse than the rest of us, just different.
I have the iPhone 3 , that puts me a couple of generations behind. I'm going to get the 5 because it will be faster and take better pictures. I also pick up all of the upgrades on 4-FaceTime, front camera, movies, etc. I dobt see how aaple could possibly crater with $80B in cash and record sales. I've got a dozen other stocks in my portfolio that should have aapl's problems!

I also have the 3G, and like you, am not eligible for the software upgrades. I will be going to either the 5 or 4 when it drops in price.

By Wyatt's picture, he probably lives by the same adage for his computer..."Look at me, I have the newest computer, it can connect to this thing called the World Wide Web, whatever that is....since you don't have it, you suck!
